My seven summers at camp in Northern Wisconsin taught me that the most important lessons in life aren't always found in classrooms. They're learned through experiences, friendships, and the simple act of showing up as your best self.
KDz Kamp celebrates those lessons.

At camp, everyone was encouraged to practice values to help us grow into better people.
Values like:

• cheerfulness
• dependability
• leadership

Simple ideas.
Powerful impact.
When people live these values, communities grow stronger and life becomes more meaningful for everyone.

Every day is another opportunity to grow, learn, help someone else, and make the world a little brighter.

Be a scrub in the valley — but be
The best little scrub by the side of the rill;
Be a bush if you can’t be a tree.
If you can’t be a bush be a bit of the grass,
And some highway happier make;
If you can’t be a muskie then just be a bass —
But the liveliest bass in the lake!
We can’t all be captains, we’ve got to be crew,
There’s something for all of us here,
There’s big work to do, and there’s lesser to do,
And the task you must do is the near.
If you can’t be a highway then just be a trail,
If you can’t be the sun be a star;
It isn’t by size that you win or you fail —
Be the best of whatever you are!
What KDz Kamp Will Become
In time, KDz Kamp will grow into a space that shares:
• life lessons
• character-building ideas
• reflections on personal growth
• stories that inspire kindness and leadership
Because sometimes the world needs a little more camp spirit.
KDz Kamp is for those who believe character still counts.
